Owner Kevin McNamee probably never dreamed that being on the ocean for the first time would change his life, but it did. He traveled far from his small midwestern town to take on the adventure of a charter deckhand job in Sitka. What started off as a way to pay for college turned into a way of life. Now, nearly 20 years later, Kevin continues to make his living on the water in Sitka by operating IslandView Resort & Charters, LLC.

Co-owner and business partner, Tina, grew up in Sitka, Alaska, and is happy to be operating a fishing lodge in her home town.  Since its inception in 1999, every season at IslandView Resort & Charters brings terrific fishing stories, as well as new and old friends.

"It's wonderful to hear people tell us that we truly are part of lifelong memories," she smiles. "We also feel fortunate that so many of our guests have been with us from the very beginning."  They are proud to have a company that boasts over an 85% return booking rate so that with each season it feels like a reunion of great friends coming up to experience world class fishing in a beautiful setting.
