Our charter captains share more than 50 years experience fishing and guiding in Sitka, Alaska. So, when we say they know the local waters like the backs of their hands, we mean it. Lodge Owner/Captain Kevin McNamee

Lodge owner and charter guide Kevin has made his living fishing and guiding in the Sitka area since 1991. He uses his intimate knowledge of the area and productive angling methods to provide you with a more than memorable fishing experience. Click here for more on Kevin's background.

Captain Chris "Guch" Hashiguchi

Guch (nicknamed for part of his surname) is a native of the Pacific Northwest. He first came to Sitka on a sport charter with his Dad when he was still in high school. From there he was hooked and began working as a deckhand for another local lodge back in the mid-1990s.

Chris shares his passion by guiding other anglers as a licensed charter captain in Sitka since 1997.  He has been a valued guide at IslandView Resort since we first opened in 1999.  During his off-season, this adventurous former science teacher can be found surfing the waves in Hawaii or enjoying the outdoors on his many travels.

Captain Jon Benton

Captain Jon has worked in Sitka's guided sportfish industry since 2000. He loves fishing and it shows! He comes highly recommended with excellent reviews from past charter guests due to his first rate service and skills as a sport fishing guide in Sitka. During the off-season, Jon spends his time fishing for fun and enjoying life with his wife in Sitka and vacationing in New Zealand.

Captain Bones has been fishing with Islandview Resort since 2006 and loves everyday of it! He is an avid sportsman and will be the first to tell you that catching beautiful wild Alaskan king salmon in Sitka, Alaska, is the best thing on earth! At his home in North Dakota, Chris enjoys a fall filled with trapping and waterfowl hunting. "As your captain, I aim to give you and your friends the quality trip you deserve with the assurance that I will do everything in my power to make it a great time and get you on some big fish!"

Our newest licensed charter captain on the crew, Doug, was trained in by his uncle and lodge owner Kevin.  He has worked as a deckhand on Kevin's boat since 2007, and definitely knows all the successful angling secrets and fishing grounds that Sitka offers.  He is excited to share his love of fishing in Sitka with IslandView Resort & Charters guests.

Lodge Owner/Operations Manager, Tina Sullivan McNamee *Photo coming soon*

Tina has been involved in Sitka's sport fishing industry since 1997 when she took a summer position managing another local lodge.  As the Lodge Co-owner and Operations Manager at IslandView, she does her best to ensure your entire trip receives the highest level of customer service and satisfaction from the planning stage to the time you return home with your delicious catch.

Lodge Hostess, Amanda McNamee

Keeping in tradition of a family business, we are happy to have niece Amanda working for IslandView. She is a gem on our staff, and has put in her time since 2006 as a breakfast cook, cleaner, and assistant fish processor. Amanda wears many hats and is ready to help in any way, which will serve her well as our Lodge Hostess.
